the normal version of this phone the

oppo ace2and that phone comes in like a tidylittle box like this this one'spresented like alike a fine wine apart from all thewarning signs around itwow this is how you do it this is howyou make a limited edition phonelook at this proper solid plastic thisandjust to kind of explain this wholelimited edition is basedoff a japanese anime it's called neongenesis evangelionwhich is about how do i say this umpilots who insert themselves into robotsto control them that sounded better inmy head but the point is that thiscapsuleis the capsule that the pilots insertthemselves into so that they can mountthe machinesyeah anyways so you open it up from thetop it's just this one compartment herewe've got the phone on top andwow you've got a very custom casenot for me but i support where they'recoming from like if you're gonna buy aphone like thisyou want something that looks differentand so it would be a shame if you had tocover that difference upwith a normal case we've got a custompair of earphoneswe've got a custom 65 watt i think it'sa super voot chargercable uh this is kind of very lightlycustom it's mostly just a normal blackcablebut with like gray and red accents i'm afan of this even the sim ejector toolscustomi couldn't tell you what it is but i'msure it's relevantit's busy there's details and differentcolors and accents likeeverywhere and again not for mebut i appreciate this it would have beenvery easy for oppo to just take a normalversion of this phone and likejust whack an evangelion logo onto itbut they haven't done thatsee what the home screen looks likethat's not a particularly pretty homescreenbut all of this still just makes itsprice all the more confusinglike why it's a good phone it's got atop-end snapdragon 865 chipand 90 hertz oil display and they put inall this effortto only make 10 000 units of it whichmight sound like a lot but you've got toremember that with a company the size ofoppowhen they make phones they're planningon selling 100 times thatanywho it's not just that one this wholeconcept of affordable limited editionphonesit kind of seems to be part of oppo'sstrategy because then you've got thisthey're even rarer find x2 league oflegends collectors editiononly 3 000 units made exclusive to chinahow much is it800 the same price as their normal findx2maybe i shouldn't have dimmed beforethisthat's probably the coolest smartphonebox i've ever seenlook at this wowno way oppo are the currentkings in my book of the limited editionwhat's happeningoh i'm done the kings this is incrediblethis is so well donei'm so impressed so this phonei i kind of really like it buti don't love it so the gold accents i'ma fanthe gold camera cutout i'm a fan in theteaser images it looked really magicaland mystical it had like a 3d element toitbut in reality it's actually just a bitflatthat makes it sound bad it's not badit's just minor gripeah this is so cool okay got a littlecard here which saysone of three thousand and it's likeholographic i love these limited editionsim ejectors that's so funwe've got another super fast 65 wattcharger custom earphonesagain i'm getting spoiled they've gotlike a pearlescentfinish in them god cable oh that'sthat's nice this is like uh almostmetallic-lookingbraided usb-c cableah that's a case and that's a nice casedo you knowthis almost fixes the one complaint ihad with the back you know how i wassaying that the design looked a bit flatthis kind of adds that depth it's notlike you've got a window to look intothe radiating aurainside your phone with or maybe i'm justoverthinking iti'm so impressed though and the wholething does make you wonderwhy did oppo bother like surelydesigning everything here from the paintjob to the accessories to thisinsane packaging to the software skin onthis phone for just the sakeof 3 000 copies all to be sold at thesame price as the normal phonethis is not making money so i'm assumingthe purpose of itis to serve as like a an organic advertthey know that if they just createsomething outrageousthey're going to get another round ofmedia coverage and that mightbring people's attention to oppo's otherphones alrighty the next one's actuallyfromxiaomi this is a weird one in the as faras i can seeyou can't buy it so a couple of monthsago xiaomi launchedtheir me 10 t phones and this is like acommemorative package to show offtheir highest end version of that themeat nt proso this is the phone and in some waysthis is likethe highest end that money can buy it'sgot a 144 hertz refresh rate a 108megapixel cameraa 5 000 million power battery but inother ways it's kind offairly mid-range like it's got an lcddisplay not oledanyways got a case i think that's the

very nice sort of hyper textured carbonfiber we'vegot like aan oversized wallet here and then justlike a an entire compartment of stuffthere's like a a luggage tag and thenthere's two more bags that i think i'mjust to refer to as little pouchand big pouch really really nice highgrade set of accessoriesthey've just got very little to do withthe phone all rightnow for something a littlesmaller this is samsung's shot at alimited editionthe bts galaxy s20plus now the phone on its own just thislittle box hereis 1200 that's more expensive than everylimited edition so farbut this actuallycomes in two parts andthe whole thing togetheris fourteen hundred dollars and forthose who don't know btsthis is like a dream collab for a phonecompany they're a korean pop group withpossibly the most devoted fan base onthe planet like as soon as theyannounced this samsungbroke every previous record they had forengagement levels their twitter wasoff the scale anyway the the box isfairly normal lookingyou've got a specialedition sleevewhich has seven heartsi think that's to symbolize the sevendifferent members of this group andtake that off okay to be fair they'veput in some effort herethis is what a normal galaxy s20 boxmight look like and compared to thatwe've got embossed purple text we've gota bts logothey've even actually hidden tiny littlehearts in the pattern on the frontokay let's take a lookiestandard power brick standard cableand standard pair of akg earphonesi mean so far this isn't as inspired asopposed editions buti'm guessing a big part of their budgetprobably went into just getting bts onboard there is also a top compartmenthereah this is where you get some special

goodness me okay so you've got a a setofpsychedelic looking stickers here ithink it's got the names of all thedifferent membersand you've got photos of all of themand here's the phonei like almost everything about this thisis super well doneexcept for that pink heart in the cameraand let's just have a very quick look atthe user interfacenot really fan of that to be honest ifeel like if you're going to make acustom editionthe very least you need to do is to makesure the icons on the home screenare all themed and the second part of itis galaxy budswell galaxy buds plus actually and asfar as i'm aware this is a special boxagain lots of bts detailingthey're kind of exactly what you wouldexpect them to be they're purpleshiny bts style galaxy buds the onlyweird thing actually is that the colorof thatdoesn't seem to match the color of thephone now the second boxis oh okay uh you get a casefor the case there is one more thingi've got a sneaking suspicion what it isit's more photos i've got an entirecollection of these guys facesbut no like on a serious note like icould imagine someone beingvery very happy with this people justlove btslike i remember one time samsungliterally just posted a photo of one ofthe guys in this groupholding their phones look at thoseengagement numbers all right screw itit's my time to shinei'm putting that one on instagram i'mexpecting some big thingsall right the phones you've seen so farhave been very much about trying to sellsomething at a similarprice to thenormal phonebut just doing something special so thatit gives people something to talk aboutbut this is where we start gettingexpensive this is still an oppo like thefirst two phones butinstead of being a find x2 this is afind x2 pro and instead of being acollaboration with league of legendsthis is a collaborationwith lamborghini that's when you knowit's serious and while i couldn't findanexactnumber of units madei remember i did see a headline sayingthat when it launched in germanythere were only 35 phones availableit's pretty clean looking this is nicethis feelsreally really high-endokay it opens like a lamborghini this islike thei think they call them scissor doorsthey have on the actual cars oh yesthat is my kind of case oh that's sonice it's liketwo-tone it's textured it's mattebig fan and all these accessoriesactually so you've got a car chargerhere which is part carbon fiber on topand is that matched with gold it's sucha it's such a classy finishthis is a this is a set of wirelessearphones which is actually a rarity tobe includedin a smartphone box because this isnormally the way that companies get you

here i mean even if you could afford it

i struggled to see someone

buying this phone and still taking it

out day to day it's just

so much value to have in your pocket but

i mean

it is beautiful you just you don't see

stuff like this every day if you're

i don't think it's based on like one

thing in particular but i think it's

largely inspired by french baroque

design

baroque not broke although

kind of looks a bit like my old curtains

there's almost

there's almost like microscopic detail

here everything from between the flowers

to between the rails on the sides it's

almost like it's probably done with a
